Mitchell, Chair of the Machine Learning Department at Carnegie Mellon University, discusses Never-Ending Language Learner (NELL) — a computer program that runs 24 hours per day, forever, learning to read the web. He gave his lecture on the occasion of Princeton University’s centennial celebration of Alan Turing.
